Today, cold-plasma-based processes have become standard procedures for nanoscale surface modifications., including coatings. These technologies get more and more importance in the industry for various applications. Germany and the Walloon region have been strongly contributing to the development of these technologies for decades through collaborative academic and industrial research projects. In this context and in the framework of the “Year of Germany”, a German Embassy initiative organized this year at the University of Mons, a workshop dedicated to the latest developments in the field of plasma-based surface modification is organized.
During this one-day workshop, co-organized by UMONS, WBI and EFDS, renowned experts from both the academic and the industrial worlds will provide the audience with an in-depth view of the latest German and Walloon development in the field of plasma and ion-based surface modifications. The workshop is intended for scientists from Industry and Academia as well as for students. In order to allow the attendees to discuss their latest outcomes, a poster session will be organized during lunch time. The workshop will take place in the modern and relaxed atmosphere of the Van der Valk Congress Hotel, in Mons.
The detailed program of the workshop as well as registration and relevant information are available on the website.
