Coordinated by Materia Nova, CLUED-O brings together 10 complementary partners from France and Belgium around a shared ambition: to develop third-generation solid oxide cells that are reversible, more sustainable and suited to tomorrow’s industrial challenges.
This first newsletter introduces:

✅ the strength of their cross-border collaboration, and
✅ the first work undertaken to optimise the performance, durability and recyclability of these technologies.
At a time of industrial decarbonisation, volatile energy prices and the search for greater European energy sovereignty, CLUED-O aims to contribute to the development of flexible, local solutions for electricity and heat production, notably by leveraging regional access to decarbonised hydrogen.
Within the consortium, Materia Nova coordinates the project and contributes its expertise to optimising cell layers and interfaces, as well as assessing their durability.
