The Interreg France–Wallonie–Vlaanderen project ACHEVALD invites you to its cross-border event on alternatives to trivalent and hexavalent chromium for a range of sectors.

Hard chrome plating is now classified as carcinogenic, harmful to the environment and subject to REACH regulation. During this afternoon, experts, industry representatives and project partners will present concrete solutions, industrial feedback and the technologies shaping the future of surface treatment: wet-process deposition (chemical and electrolytic) and dry-process deposition (PTA plasma welding, DED laser, Cold Spray, HVOF…).

The programme includes presentations, a networking break over coffee, and a closing reception to end the session.

This event is aimed at professionals, researchers, technicians and students who wish to strengthen their skills in surface treatment.
