I3iDENT
Start of the project: 01-07-2024
End of project: 30-06-2028
General objective:
The I3iDENT project aims to develop a new generation of bioresorbable, 3D-printable ceramic-polymer composites with optimized filler-matrix interfaces, designed for facial-dental implants. This innovative approach, bringing together the expertise of the University of Mons, Materia Nova and CERHUM, will result in a validated proof of concept, based on a REACH/FDA-compliant formulation, guaranteeing high mechanical performance, excellent printability, and biological behavior suitable for oral regenerative medicine.
Materia Nova's mission:
Materia Nova is responsible for optimizing the charge-matrix interface by plasma polymerization on hydroxyapatite (HAp) powders, with the following objectives:
The controlled deposition of ester-rich layers,
The fine analysis of plasma and layer chemistry (XPS, IR, ToF-SIMS...),
The development and technology transfer to a semi-industrial reactor suitable for the homogeneous processing of micro/nano powders, and
The supply of functionalized powders to the partners for the next stages of the project.
