Royal visit to Materia Nova

His Majesty King Philippe honored Materia Nova with his presence at a double celebration: the 25th anniversary of our research center and the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Mons.

The Sovereign was able to discover several demonstrations illustrating our strategic themes—safe and sustainable circular materials, decarbonization/defossilization solutions, and Life Cycle Thinking—highlighting the expertise of our researchers as well as that of professors and students from UMONS, the Haute Ecole Provinciale de Hainaut – Condorcet, and the Haute Ecole en Hainaut.

This royal visit was also an opportunity for a special exchange with the students, who shared their current projects and ambitions for the future.
