MIR OLED

  • Project start: 01/05/2007
  • End of project: 30/04/2011

The objective of the research is the development of high-performance surface lighting systems (rigid or flexible) thanks to OLED technology integrated on metal or alloy supports, including electrodeposited copper, which can be shaped.

Over the last four years, within the framework of MIRAGE 1, new and particularly innovative products and systems with low energy consumption have been developed. The feasibility of integrating OLED diodes on steel supports has been demonstrated.

The objective of this OLED project is resolutely oriented towards the development of products taking into account the industrial constraints linked to market and customer demands according to 4 sub-objectives of components:

  • Advanced metal substrates and connectors / smart power supplies
  • Conformable lenses that encapsulate and allow efficient light extraction
  • Development of transparent electrodes
  • Development of organic materials that can be deposited in solution
