New coatings with a better resistance to wear and corrosion for the transport industry. The project aims to develop porous ceramic sol-gel coatings deposited on metallic substrates. The main actions of the TRANSPORT project will be to implement and test these parts (where the developed low-friction coefficient sol-gel coatings will be deposited), first on a laboratory scale, then on a pilot scale, and then to develop solutions that meet market expectations via a collaborative approach strongly oriented towards the application by associating the industrial partners from the outset.
Objectives and missions of Materia Nova
Within the consortium, Materia Nova is responsible for developing the spray application of the sol-gel solution developed and the production of demonstrators (complex parts).
