Sensors for the measurement of indoor air VOC pollution.

The aim of the project is to develop a VOC (formaldehyde) sensor for monitoring the quality of indoor air in industrial or domestic environments, thus enabling passive and active preventive measures to be taken. The sensor will be designed so that it can be purely passive and provide a visual signal or generate an electrical signal.

The deliverable consists of the development of VOC (and more specifically formaldehyde) sensors for the measurement of indoor air pollution.

This will provide a simple, fast and inexpensive formaldehyde concentration measurement system to avoid the systematic use of more cumbersome and expensive laboratory analyses.

Objectives and missions of Materia Nova

Within the consortium, Materia Nova carried out the development of the sensitive layer and the characterization of the sensor.
