AMORPHO

  • Start of the project : 01-01-16
  • End of project : 31-12-20

The aim of this project is the development of corrosion-resistant “metallic glass” type coatings. These materials with exceptional properties, combining those of metals and polymers, make it possible to modify the properties of the treated parts without changing the material. Applications: corrosion resistance in very aggressive environments (for petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, etc.), “green” alternative to cadmium plating, etc.

Objectives and missions of Materia Nova

Within the consortium, Materia Nova carried out the development of metallic glasses using low-pressure plasma (PVD magnetron) and electrochemistry, as well as material characterization and evaluation of anti-corrosion performance
