Materia Nova is a partner in the HIPPER-PACK technological innovation project, implemented by the Wagralim competitiveness cluster and supported by the Walloon region.
The aim of this project is to develop new (bio)plastic packaging, adapted to treatment by pascalisation at high pressure (6,000 bars), which aims to eliminate harmful agents and increase the shelf life of treated foods (5 to 6 times the usual shelf life) while retaining their organoleptic properties, flavours and aromas.
Objectives and missions of Materia Nova
Materia Nova is the leader of the tasks aiming to develop biopolymer films for the flexible parts (lids and membranes) of the trays and lids of the glass bottles targeted by the project.
