BIODEC

BIODEC develops innovative eco-friendly and durable coatings capable of degrading indoor air pollutants through the use of natural molecules. The coatings will be produced by aqueous phase deposition processes on existing structural elements of our enclosed living spaces.

As part of the consortium, Materia Nova has developed coatings that encapsulate micro-organisms.

The partners in this project:

ULiège, UCLouvain, UMons and Materia Nova.

Their work has already resulted in a patent application. The partners are continuing their work together well after the end of the project, with a view to using the technology on a larger scale.
