The Elasto-Plast project aims to familiarise companies with the immense possibilities offered by thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) to increase product properties or to improve the processing of conventional polymers.
The Elasto-Plast project also aims to develop new types of TPEs with complementary functionalities, including shape memory, conductivity, improved impact resistance, malleability under pressure… The application of TPEs in new processing techniques (3D printing) and in the development of textile and plastic products with high added value will also be examined. The project's integrated, innovative and cross-border approach enables the knowledge gained to be transferred to companies in the INTERREG FWVL region so that they can make full use of the resulting opportunities.
Objectives and missions of Materia Nova
Within the consortium, Materia Nova makes new combinations of thermoplastic polymers and thermoplastic elastomers by melt blending.
